About the Artwork

I have always been drawn to painting hands and the stories they can tell without saying anything at all. Piano Man was painted with my husband in mind while he was still here with us. Music was a big part of who he was, and he played the piano, so when I painted this piece it was simply inspired by something I loved about him. I had no idea then how much more it would come to mean to me. Looking at it now, it feels like I captured a small piece of him without ever knowing how important that would become.
