About the Artwork

Unspoken was never meant to feel like a sad cry. To me, this tear comes from anger. It’s that feeling of being so overwhelmed, frustrated, or hurt that the emotion has nowhere else to go.

I wanted the eye to hold everything that isn’t being said. The kind of emotion you can try to keep contained, but eventually it finds its way out anyway. I think there are moments when a single look can say more than we ever could out loud, and that feeling is what became Unspoken.
